Regional Conference

Registration is open!

Our next Major Event is The Buckeye Conference, coming to Central Ohio for the first time on September 20th and 21st of 2023, and will be held at Grandview Event Center at Grandview Yard in Columbus Ohio.  The conference is sponsored by the Northwest Ohio, Columbus, and Cincinnati chapters of CFMA, and will have attendees from these chapters plus other CFMA chapters in the Midwest.  We have two keynote speakers this year, Chris McAlister and Maurice Clarett. (bios below)

As in the past, we expect to have a great two days of training for CFOs, controllers, and other leaders of the construction industry.  We believe there is great value and opportunity to be part of an exciting event, which you have come to expect over the last 20 years.

Keynote Speaker Bios:

"Since 2000, Chris has been obsessed with how leaders grow and develop. In addition to seeding the foundation of his career, this passion helped Chris navigate a very pivotal and unforeseen crisis. It was this opportunity to apply what he had learned over the previous decade that brought about a shift in Chris, from ‘knowing’ to truly ‘understanding’ what it meant to lead. This new awareness sparked a journey of discovery and experimentation that would lead Chris to author a process by which any motivated leader could operate at the edge of their abilities." "Maurice Clarett is a former American football running back who played for the Ohio State Buckeyes football team. He also played professionally for the Omaha Nighthawks of the United Football League. During his freshman year at Ohio State University in 2002, he helped lead the Buckeyes to a national championship. In a widely unexpected move, Clarett was drafted on the first day of the 2005 NFL Draft with the final pick of the 3rd round (#101 overall) by the Denver Broncos. In recent years, Clarett has spoken in public forums several times about his experiences in the criminal justice system and the need for criminal justice reform. He also wrote an op-ed in The Columbus Dispatch on the same topic.  On February 9, 2022, Clarett was appointed to the board of directors of the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber of Commerce."
