GENERAL
Logging In, Access, Navigation & Profile
- How do I navigate the platform? When you log in, you can reach all areas of your account straight from your Customer dashboard, including membership, education, certification, CFMA’s store, and more! Once you log in, click on “My Dashboard” in the upper right corner to be brought to your Membership dashboard.
- How do I login to my education portfolio or my CCIFP account? There is now one login for all your CFMA needs, whether it be for membership, education, or CCIFP. If you have an existing CFMA membership account, those login credentials will now be used for everything. You can use those credentials to log in to your account.
- What if I don’t have a CFMA customer account? If you had a CCIFP or education account, but did not have a CFMA customer account, an account has been created for you. An email with login instructions should have been sent to your email address on file.
Please check your spam folder to ensure you have not missed it. If you do not see the email, please contact membership@cfma.org. You can also reset your password.
Do not create a new account, as your historical activity will not be linked.
- I had an existing cfma.org account but received a login for a second account. How can I merge my two records? If you received login instructions for a second account, please contact us so we can verify the two accounts and merge them.
- How do I reset my password? If you have an account and cannot remember the password, you reset it. Do not create a new account as your historical activity will not be linked.
- Should I create a new account if I am having trouble logging in? No, creating a new account will not give you access to your historical activity with CFMA. Please contact us instead, and we will help get you into your account.
- How do I update my contact details? All of your contact details should be visible on the lefthand side of your Customer dashboard. To update them, please click the box labeled “Update Information”.
EDUCATION
Purchasing, Pricing, Refunds, Coupons & Discounts
- How can I receive member discounts? I thought I was a member, but the prices displayed are for non-members. What should I do?Please be sure you are logged into your member account.
- How do I become a member to receive member discounts? If you are not currently a member and would like to join to take advantage of CFMA’s member benefits, you can join here.
- How do I access purchased courses? You have access to purchased courses for 365 days. To find the courses, navigate to your course portfolio by clicking “View More” from the Education section of the new Customer dashboard.
- Will my entire purchased course history be in my account? No, you have access to any CPEs earned. Only purchases from the last 365 days have been migrated from your old account.
- What happened to my purchases that are more than 5 years old? To optimize storage and system performance, older records have been archived and can be accessed upon request if needed.
- How do I purchase additional educational products? Access education from CFMA’s new and improved storefront.
- Where can I view my earned CPE credits? CPE credits earned in CFMA’s new Learning Management System (LMS) on or after March 31, 2025, will automatically be recorded on your customer record, as well as your certification record, if applicable.
Courses, Credits, Claiming Credits, Certificates, Transcripts, Etc.
- Have the CPE credits earned on my completed courses been migrated? Yes, all CPE credits earned and claimed were migrated with the courses and should be visible on your record. Please note that only 5 years of courses were migrated, and you will only see CPE credits for these courses. Older records have been archived and can be accessed upon request if needed.
- Where do I go to see how many CPE credits I have? To view you CPE credit count, select “Review Education” from the CPE Credit section of your Membership dashboard to see CPE credits earned from CFMA’s LMS or “Add Or Review CPEs” to look at CPEs you earned from an outside platform and have manually recorded to your account on or after March 31, 2025.
To view your detailed CFMA education transcript with CPE details, please select “View More” under the Education section of your dashboard, to access your education portfolio.
- What happened to the progress I made on my courses in the historical platform? Courses completed and CPE credits earned by February 28, 2025, had their progress migrated to the new platform. Courses left in-progress after February 28, 2025 had their progress reset when migrated to the new platform and will need to be restarted. CPEs earned from the live event, Project Management Fundamentals for Construction Financial Professionals, held on March 26 & 27, 2025, have also been migrated as well.
Webinars & Live Events
- I purchased a ticket to a live event on the old platform but am not seeing it in my account. We have migrated all sales over from the historical platform, although it may take 48 hours for all records to appear on your account. If you are still missing a purchase on or after April 2, 2025, please contact us so we can investigate.
- How do I access the webinar? On the morning of the live event, you will receive a link to join via email at the address we have on file. Please be sure your contact details are up to date.
CERTIFICATION
Recertification
- How do I pay my year one, year two annual maintenance or triennial recertification maintenance fee? Navigate to cfma.org and log into your account using the login button in the upper right corner of the screen.
Once logged in, select “My Dashboard” to navigate to your personal dashboard.
There are two ways to pay your open invoice.
Option 1: On your Dashboard, scroll down until you see the Purchases widget in the right-hand column, and click “View More”.
Tick the box next to your CCIFP Annual Maintenance Fee invoice and click “Add to Shopping Cart”.
Select your payment type, complete the captcha, and click “Submit”.
Finally, enter your credit card information and click “Submit”.
Option 2: On your Dashboard, navigate to “My Account” from the menu bar at the top of the page, and select “Pay Open Invoices”.
Tick the box next to your CCIFP Annual Maintenance Fee invoice and click “Add to Shopping Cart”.
Select your payment type, complete the captcha, and click “Submit”.
Finally, enter your credit card information and click “Submit”.
If you need to pay your invoice by check: Navigating to “My Account” from the menu bar at the top of the page, and select “Print Invoices”.
Next, select “View Order” for the invoice you are trying to pay.
Finally, click on “Print Invoice” in the upper right corner of the screen.

- How do I complete my Triennial Recertification? Navigate to cfma.org and log into your account using the login button in the upper right corner of the screen.
Once logged in, select “My Dashboard” to navigate to your personal dashboard.
On your Dashboard, navigate to “CCIFP Applications” from the top menu bar and select “CCIFP Triennial Recertification – Learning Plan”.
Next, select “Create New Learning Plan” under the “Learning Plan: CCIFP Triennial Recertification” category.
Use the “Next” button in the lower right corner to navigate through the application and complete each section.
CFMA Education Credits are CPEs that you have earned through CFMA, which are automatically recorded. Self-Reported CPEs are CPEs you have earned outside of CFMA that you need to record manually. Both pages provide a summary of the combined total of CPEs that you have earned.
Next, attest to the Code of Ethics by reading the code, and ticking the box at the bottom.
The status page of the application shows which sections you have successfully completed (a checkmark) and which ones still need your attention (an X).
Once you have checkmarks for all 5 requirements, click “Submit” to finish your submission. On your dashboard, you should see a new certification 3 years from the date of submission, ending 03/31/xx.
Membership
Joining CFMA is a two step process.
First you will need to create a profile by clicking here.
After creating a CFMA profile, click the "Join CFMA" link to begin the member application process.
Once complete the membership will be active.
Membership renewal begins in December of each year. Memberships can be renewed by logging into the member record then clicking on the RENEW NOW link.

CFMA General members are comprised of general contractors, subcontractors as well as developers, construction managers, architects, engineers, principals, and material and equipment suppliers.
Associate members are those serving the construction industry, such as public accountants, sureties, bankers, insurance agents/brokers and carrier’s consultants, and other service providers.
The local chapter is a huge benefit of CFMA membership, as it allows you to network with peers, attend quality meetings that provide useful topics and education that you can use in your professional life. As a member of CFMA you will have the ability to access The Online Membership Directory which allows you access to members nationwide. You will receive CFMA’s Building Profits Magazine which is packed full of useful articles and information tailored specifically for the construction financial professional. You will also be able to take part in our online courses and webinars which can earn you CPE credits at no additional cost.

Yes, however you cannot add a chapter membership to your existing membership online. To add a chapter membership, please call CFMA's membership dept. at 609-945-2425.
Yes, CFMA chapters meet locally, allowing members to get the added benefits of local networking and education. Each chapter is unique in the structure and content of its meetings. All members of CFMA chapters must also be members of CFMA. Find a CFMA chapter near you!
All CFMA memberships will expire on March 31 of each year.
CFMA does not offer company memberships. All memberships are on an individual basis.
CFMA membership dues are pro-rated from May 1 – September 30 of each year.
CFMA benefits are active immediately upon joining.
CFMA memberships can be transferred to a colleague at any time. The member or a company representative if the member is no longer there should reach out to membership@cfma.org for more information.
CFMA membership dues are non-refundable.
CFMA members may keep their membership if they switch employers. Simply update your contact information and reach out to HQ at membership@cfma.org.

Membership Account
Member numbers can be viewed online by logging into the member record.
Contact information can be updated by logging into the member record then clicking ‘Update Profile’.
Login to the member record then select My Account. Scroll down to eContact Preferences, click Update Preferences then click Edit Preferences. Make your updates then save.

Members-Only Connection Café Community
Once you login to your CFMA account with your username and password you will be automatically logged into the cafe. Simply click on the Cafe link at the top of the CFMA home page.
Once you have successfully logged in click on Participate then click on Post a Message from the drop down menu.
To join a community navigate to the "All Communities" page and click the Join button on the right of the one you wish to join. You will be prompted with a dialog box asking to verify your e-mail address and how you would like to receive messages from that community. When finished, click the Yes Join the Community button at the bottom of the dialog box.
To leave the community, navigate to its home page by clicking the /community name/ (4) under the “community” section then Settings, /Leave Community/.
Contact information can be updated by logging into the member record then clicking on the avatar then clicking ‘Profile’.
CFMA Certification
Established in 2003, and today with more than 1,100 active CCIFPs nationwide, the CCIFP credential is the only standard to recognize that a financial manager truly knows the business of construction. Certification affords you a competitive edge over your peers by demonstrating your commitment to your profession and the construction industry as a whole.
The CCIFP designation is endorsed by such industry-leading organizations as ASA, CFMA, CICPAC, IRMI, NASBP, and others.

Products & Services
Yes, CFMA is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education, and is licensed to provide CPE credits for group-live and group-internet based programs.
To receive CPE credits for attending a webinar or online course, participants must log in to the program within 15 minutes of the start of the presentation and respond to a series of alertness checks at different intervals throughout the broadcast. Participants who do not meet the alertness requirement will not be able to take an evaluation survey or receive CPE credits.
Participants complete the online evaluation survey through CFMA’s Education Online website. Log on with your CFMA username and password and click My Account. Locate the title of the session and click Access, then Evaluations, to take the survey and print your CPE certificate. CPE certificates are only awarded for attending live online events and are not provided for viewing on demand programs.
