Hosted by Maine, Fairfield, ME

About this Event

Workplace challenges come in all forms—tight deadlines, difficult personalities, miscommunication, burnout, and the search for a strong work-life balance. This session explores how emotional intelligence can help you stay grounded, lead effectively, and maintain your sanity, even when work (or life) seems unmanageable.

Through real-world examples and practical tools, we’ll unpack how to handle stress, navigate tough conversations, set boundaries, and recognize when it's time to pause before reacting. Whether you're managing a team, juggling multiple demands, or just trying not to lose your cool in the chaos, this session offers insights to help you respond—not react—with clarity, confidence, and a bit of humor.

Meeting Agenda:

  • 3:00-3:30pm: Check in
  • 3:30-4:30pm: Program
  • 4:30-6:00pm: Networking Reception

Featured Speakers

Leslie Lennig, LCSW, has been working in the mental health field for over 30 years—which means she's seen it all, heard most of it, and still somehow loves people. Currently serving as the Clinical Director of Community Health & Counseling Services, she spends her days helping teams navigate stress, burnout, tough conversations, and the occasional existential crisis (theirs, not hers—most of the time).

While rooted in clinical practice, Leslie’s work bridges the gap between human behavior and organizational effectiveness, offering insights that resonate across sectors.  She’s developed and delivered trainings on leadership, communication, burnout/rustout, trauma, and how to survive working with people from five different generations who all think they’re doing it right. Her mission? To make emotional intelligence something you can actually use at work—not just a buzzword in a PowerPoint.

When she's not helping people handle workplace chaos, she enjoys travelling and being off the grid in Northern Maine at her camp with her wife—fishing, ATVing, hiking, and enjoying the peace and quiet.
