- Acquire a bank of sample language to use in negotiating owner-contractor and contractor-subcontractor contracts.
- Understand how risks can be created and avoided by specific, and sometimes overlooked, contract language.
- Learn how to spot contract language that increases a company’s liability risk and how to negotiate provisions that minimize risk and apportion liability fairly among parties.
Prerequisites
This is a group-internet course at the Advanced Level. Attendees should complete CFMA’s Construction Contracts course for foundational elements prior to attending this course. Attendees should also have experience working with company contracts and possess knowledge of contract language and clauses.
